The Oscars Rules

Submission Period

During the submission period all you need to do to enter ‘The Oscar’s’ is create a meme using the $Garbage meme machine and then click ‘Send to the Oscars’.

Once verified you will select the category you would like to submit to, and fill in a couple pieces of info such as your social handles (these must be filled in correctly as they will be used to notify/announce finalists and winners) As part of submission you must share your meme to social media including the auto shared caption (in its entirety) provided via the share button on the memegenerator.

You may enter as many submissions as you like in each category. However, too many low quality submissions from one person may result in suspension so as not to flood the committee.

Voting Week

All submissions in each category will be whittled down to 4 finalists per category and displayed on our voting page found on the puregarbage.io website.

This week all finalists will have to get out across social media and gather as many votes as possible in order to increase their chance of winning.

This will be a public vote. However, please note that votes can only be submitted by verifying your wallets addres via the connect wallet feature on the website, this is to ensure no bots can be used to influence the outcome of the voting process.

During the submissions period some of the top memes will be displayed on our Oscars Awards page on puregarbage.io

The Award Ceremony

$Garbage X Rekt Oscars awards ceremony will take place at a specific time via a Joint AMA between the two projects so be sure to follow @buygarbage and @rekt on X to stay up to date on the competition. The Awards AMA will feature a host of hilarious guests and skits culminating in the reveal of the very first winners of the inaugural Oscar’s Meme Awards!
